From the starting of my time below in the northwest Bronx in 2009, I have been blessed to perform with lots of superb people—students, college, administrators, team, and alumni—who function so tough and faithfully to make the School the great spot that it is. As I say to incoming learners and their people every 12 months, Manhattan’s power lies in the point that we have fantastic people with a excellent feeling of purpose—a intent that is firmly grounded in our Lasallian Catholic mission.

Over the past 13 decades, my admiration for our mission and our individuals has grown into a deep affection for the Higher education and its heritage, and I have been privileged to be a section of the growth and continuing flourishing of this potent, resilient establishment. 

So it is with mixed emotions, and following much reflection and prayer, that I have made the decision that this educational yr will be my very last as president of Manhattan School. This was not an effortless decision, but I know that the time is appropriate to pass the torch. The long term is shiny for Manhattan School, and I am assured that we will be in very good hands with Brother Daniel Gardner, FSC at the helm while the search for a new president moves ahead.

I am wanting forward to a prepared sabbatical beginning in July just before inevitably returning to the get the job done of educating and scholarship that initially attracted me, as a college or university pupil, into the planet of larger education and learning. I will constantly be grateful to have experienced the possibility to lead this fine establishment. I will normally retain our neighborhood in my prayers and will continue to maintain Manhattan College in a specific area in my heart.
