Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens’ Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show: An Ocean of Shade opens this weekend. Hrs are 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be vibrant shows of orchids of various shapes, measurements and fragrances, as effectively as fruiting and flowering bonsai trees.
The Backyard Railroad: Bridges and Tunnels exhibit which features miniature recreations of legendary Western Pennsylvania scenes is also open up as is the Winter season Gentle Yard.

On the street
This is the last weekend for The Pittsburgh RV Demonstrate, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary at the David L. Lawrence Conference Middle, Downtown. Nine acres are filled with anything from folding camping trailers to substantial-end motor houses. The exhibit features much more than 100 exhibitors and 13 dealers.
Hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $12 for older people, $10 for seniors and energetic navy staff, $5 for youngsters age 6-16 and absolutely free for young children 5 and youthful.
Experience masks are required for those people unvaccinated and encouraged for all guests.
