UTHSC Faculty of Nursing Features Inaugural Kaleidoscope Tale Slam

The energy of storytelling will be on full screen at the inaugural Kaleidoscope Tale Slam at 6:00 p.m., March 24, in the Schreier Auditorium of the College student-Alumni Middle, 800 Madison. Hosted by the College of Tennessee Health Science Center’s Faculty of Nursing, the event is totally free and open up to all. It is funded by means of a Diversity and Inclusion Mini-Grant sponsored by the UTHSC Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Range. Josh Campbell, innovative director of Spillit Memphis, will emcee the party.

Assa, a native of Saudi Arabia, stated she preferred to participate in the Tale Slam since “I normally get empowered by observing peoples’ life and listening to their stories. I discover classes and inspiration from their successes and failures. This calendar year could be the final calendar year of my PhD journey, and I imagined sharing my tale may well inspire some others who desire to go after their schooling.”

Folsom made a decision to take part in the Tale Slam mainly because he thinks in the power of storytelling. “I believe that that a cautiously crafted story can enable have interaction an viewers like no other medium.
